Welcome to An Inside Look of Stephanie Beatriz's Los Angeles home. Stephanie wanted to create a space that felt welcoming, tranquil and relaxing, and we were thrilled to be part of achieving that goal.
Stephanie, an LA based actress with a career full of whirlwind moments and travel, knew it was important to her to have a home that allows her family to rest and reset before the next hectic cycle begins.
"I waited a while after we moved in to decide on window treatments. A few times I wanted to throw something up just to block the light that was coming in, but I'm glad I didn't. Letting all that light in, living in the space, understanding where we needed more privacy and seeing how the spaces in our house functioned with people in them was so helpful. By the time we were ready to take the plunge, it was easy to decide what kind of window treatments we needed and where!"

She describes her design style as modern Scandinavian with cozy and soft elements mixed with toys and trinkets from her adorable toddler. Stephanie pulled inspiration from Hlx Island House in Puerto Rico, designed by John Hlx and resonated with his way of creating simple and undemanding environments allowing leeway for personal interpretation and inspiration.
Additionally, she stumbled upon an Everhem photo that became another source of inspiration for the home. When it came time to choosing her window treatments, we were the only option.
"A photo of Everhem window treatments was one of the reference images I used for what I wanted our house to feel like. I brainstormed a list of how I wanted to feel in the house and then searched for images that gave me the feeling. Lo and behold, Everhem was one of the strongest for me. In fact, the large glass doors in our bedroom and the Everhem window treatment on them are very similar to that image and they give me an incredibly peaceful feeling everyday when I wake up to see them! I wanted the space to feel like we could let the outside world fade away and retreat to a home that allows us to incubate creatively"

When it comes to customizing Shades with no visible cords, you have a couple options.
Cordless features our wood tassel positioned behind the center of the bottom of the shade. To operate this control, simply pull the tassel down, then guide the shade up slowly as it draws open. Pull the tassel down to close the shade or hold the shade at the desired position.
Cordless is a great option if you're looking for a less expensive way to achieve a clean look with no long cords.
Motorization features a rechargeable motor that is made to last and run quietly. To operate this control, use the pre-programmed remote to open or close the shade. You can also lock the shade at a desired position with a simple press of a button.

Lining can make a bigger difference than you realize! Everhem offers 3 types of lining: Unlined, Privacy and Blackout. We recommend asking yourself when and where you'll be using your window treatments before choosing your desired lining.
UNLINED
Unlined window treatments are perfect for areas you want to keep bright and open. Keep in mind this option is ideal when privacy in not a concern. We often see Unlined in rooms like kitchens, breakfast nooks or even balconies.
PRIVACY
Privacy Lining is what we like to call "the best of both worlds". If you're looking for soft sunlight and privacy all at the same time, this lining is the best option for you. Utilize Privacy Lining in common areas like family rooms, home offices and bathrooms.
BLACKOUT
Blackout Lining is the ideal option when blocking the most amount of light and privacy are your top priorities. Consider Blackout for spaces like bedrooms, nurseries or home theaters.

1. Function First
Consider the purpose of the window treatment to guide your decision. Ask, "What function do I want it to serve?". For example, if your answer is, "to make my room darker" then Blackout Lining is the way to go.
2. Order Swatches
To choose the right fabric, it's best to see it in person and hold it up to the paint color to ensure it pairs well together. Tape the sample to the window for a few days to observe how the fabric looks in different lighting conditions, including during the day and at night.
It's always best to check with an expert. Take advantage of our free design consultations, where you can get help with measuring, design, and any questions you may have about window treatments.
4. Measure Precisely
Measuring to the 1/8" is vital in making your window treatment fit perfectly. We also provide helpful guides to assist you every step of the way.
5. Choose what you love
At the end of the day, trust your gut and pick what you love to help make your house a home!

We know window treatments can seem like a big task to tackle. When working with Everhem we strive to support you in every step of the way. 1. What is the difference between Inside and Outside Mount Shades?
Inside Mount is when the Shade is installed directly into the window casement. Outside Mount Shades are installed on the wall above the window or perhaps the face of the window's trim.
2. What are the benefits of adding a valance?
A valance is present when the shades operation is in the front rather than the back of the shade. We recommend this when you are looking for maximum blackout as the shade will sit flush with the window and won’t project.
3. What are the best products and combinations for optimal darkness?
If your priority is optimal darkness, we recommend Blackout Lining or to pair Blackout Roman Shades or Woven Woods (your choice!) with Blackout Drapery.
4. What are "stacks"?
Stacks are essentially where your Drapery will live when fully opened. We recommend 10-12” stacks of wall space per side for your Drapery so that they don’t interfere with the door or window when they are opened.
5. What are the benefits of mounting Drapery high?
Mounting your Drapery high will elongate any room and essentially open the space up. We recommend at least 12” of mounting space above your Drapery.

Welcome to An Inside Look of Anastasia Casey's gorgeous Texas home. We worked with Anastasia to help elevate her windows and add to her charming and aspirational style inspired by both an English cottage and a Texas ranch.
Anastasia leaned into the existing Tudor elements when designing her space. She was heavily inspired by the existing home, so it was important to her to maintain the character while adding her personal touch and charm. She shared with us, "I’m incredibly drawn to English interiors right now for their use of color, texture, and pattern."
To Anastasia, there are two key components that makes a home special. One, having conversation pieces that evoke a story. "I want anyone who comes into one of my spaces to immediately ask me where I got something, not in a superficial way, but in a storied and collected way." And two, Making sure every space has elements to harness and control light. "Whether you want a space to be incredibly bright and light filled, or softer and moodier with specific moments of shadow and contrast, lighting (both natural and artificial) is the key to a memorable space."
As we learned, Anastasia values light in her space. Our Sheers in Pebble made for the perfect match in her living room. "Harnessing and capturing light is really important to me in every space. Starting from the approximate mounting height found, measure the length from that point down to the bottom inside edge of the window, rounding down to the nearest 1/8” of an inch.
Step Two: Measure the Total Width
Along the approximate mounting height found, measure the width from inside edge to inside edge of the window, rounding down to the nearest 1/8” of an inch.
Step Three: Choose Panel Configuration
Choose between a Single or Double Panel. We generally recommend Double Panel for Café Curtains.

Choose between a Single or Double Panel. We generally recommend Double Panel for Café Curtains.
