Drapery was selected to soften and define gathering spaces, while café curtains introduced a sense of charm and intimacy—filtering light while maintaining openness. Restored & Reimagined: A Thoughtful Cottage
When Jen (@thecaliforniarancher) and her family set out to build a guest cottage on their property, their vision was clear: create a warm, welcoming retreat that felt like an extension of their home. Every detail—from wood beams to soft window treatments—was selected with intention to make the space feel grounded, comfortable, and complete.

Step into Nell Diamond’s Windham, New York ski house, and you’re met with a joyful riot of pattern, print, and playful detail. A velvet settee. Gingham wallpaper. Painted plates. Built-in bunks. It’s cozy-cottage meets Austrian mountain lodge—rich with references and full of personality.
Designed in collaboration with her longtime friend Lauren Carlucci, the home is a personal patchwork of Nell’s favorite things: carved wood finishes reminiscent of alpine hotels, antique rugs, classic British upholstery, and fabric prints pulled straight from her Hill House Home archives.

We’re thrilled to share a beautiful collaboration between Everhem and Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors, a longtime tastemaker and interior designer known for her signature blend of laid-back California elegance and richly layered interiors. Amber recently spotlighted Everhem window treatments in one of her stunning projects—and the results are everything we love about timeless design with a tailored twist.
Amber chose Everhem’s Pebble Sheer Drapery in Box Pleat in the living area, pairing it with Shoppe's custom Everhem hardware, which is now available at Shoppe Amber Interiors. The airy Pebble Sheer fabric brings softness and movement to the space while allowing light to filter through with an ethereal glow—an ideal backdrop for Amber’s signature mix of natural materials and neutral tones.
In her words on All Sorts Of, Amber explains:

We’re thrilled to unveil the Carly Kuhn Collection—a creative collaboration between Everhem and artist Carly Kuhn. The story began in 2019, when Everhem founder and interior designer Haley first discovered Carly's work. Over the years, their friendship grew alongside their creative paths. In 2024, as Haley explored ways to thoughtfully introduce pattern into Everhem’s custom offerings, she knew an artist collaboration could bring a fresh perspective. As fate would have it, Carly reached out at the very same time with a similar idea. The timing was serendipitous—and their shared vision came to life with ease.
Carly, a New York native now based in Miami, is known for her expressive illustrations and collaborations with brands like Bergdorf Goodman, Tory Burch, Crate & Barrel, and Sotheby’s. Her background in entertainment and improv lends a playful, witty tone to her work, which ranges from fashion sketches to large-scale murals. Her inspiration comes from everyday quirks, vintage charm, and pop culture—elements that shine through in this exclusive collection.

For Haley, the founder of Everhem, designing her home office wasn’t just about practicality—it was about creating a personal retreat. She wanted a space that would inspire her daily, spark creativity, and offer moments of calm amid her busy schedule. From the start, her vision was clear: a thoughtfully curated office filled with warmth, personality, and timeless style.
At the heart of her design was the perfect window treatment. Naturally, she turned to Everhem’s Cognac fabric in an outside mount shade—a choice that felt deeply personal. Cognac, her favorite hue from Everhem’s Hues collection, is a soft amber linen that bathes the room in a warm, inviting glow. Not only does it filter light beautifully, but it also sets the tone for the entire space, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
With the foundation in place, Haley layered the room with meaningful elements that reflect her love for rich colors, bold patterns, and thoughtful details.
